Why where fighting Iraq

I agree with Michael’s blog about the government treaty to pull the Americans out of Iraq may have consequences on our government in his writing Keep the Peace. For an example he used two soldiers where killed in a humanitarian mission on a day where the Iraq’s where protesting to get the Americans out faster. The main reason they want us out of their country faster is so that terrorist leaders can attack their own government again. When I took Cultural Geography a year ago my teacher told us that Iraq is made up between the Islamic split in religion sunni / shitte. This also being a main problem where they have their own religious war with in the country we should have never gotten into as a nation. When we leave out of Iraq all the work we achieved will be destroyed and the country will go back to corruptness and inner war once again. Yes it’s not right for another country to sit in and baby sit this country to peace, but without us they will probably never change parliament. Michael also brings up the questioning of us staying in Iraq and the proposal to never fall through. This being Iraq government want the U.S. to stay, possibly could lead us to being their a bit longer. But for the majority Obama is set on bringing home the men and women fighting for peace. Troops have killed the 2 main terrorist leaders so far. There are a few more terrorist leaders in Iraq that we haven’t gotten. Michael then goes into how it’s ironic that we fight for peace, which I disagree. Without fighting for peace we be asking to be attacked again not caring for are people. Also stepping in to help a nation with probable mass destruction weapons show where taking care of other countries from being harmed. Risking are lives not only for are country but are world we live in.
